I uploaded my accounts-sold data. What happens next?
TL;DR. Uploading your accounts-sold data helps us confirm where you are sold and supplements your coverage and gap views. It does not, on its own, make those stores appear to shoppers. A store shows to a shopper only when that retailer sells your product online and has been ingested by Pour Now.
What your data does once it is in
Your accounts-sold data (sometimes called points of distribution) tells us to which retailers you recently sold. We use it to confirm and expand which retailers we match to your products and to increase coverage.
Why some of those stores still may not show shoppers
Pour Now sees the shelf the way a shopper does. A store only appears to a shopper when that retailer carries your product on its own website, offers a path to purchase (delivery, pickup, or shipping), and has it in stock right now. So a grocery chain you are sold into physically, but that does not sell your SKU online, will not appear as a buyable option for shoppers. That is expected, and it is the gap your data helps you find.
What to do next
- Spot-check a few of the stores you care about. Open those retailers' websites and see whether your product is listed and in stock online. Check whether the retailer has an actual path to purchase as well. That tells you fast whether the gap is "not online yet" or "online but we have not matched it."
- Flag key online-capable retailers that do not appear at all. If an important retailer sells online and still is not in Pour Now, email help@pour.now and we will work on ingesting them.
