Does Pour Now include fourth-tier marketplaces?

TL;DR. No. Pour Now sends your shoppers to the retailers who actually stock and sell your product, not to fourth-tier marketplaces. That keeps the margin and the customer with your retail partners, which is exactly what makes them want to carry more of your products.

The short answer

No, Pour Now does not route shoppers to marketplaces, and that is a deliberate choice. We send your shoppers to e-com-enabled retailers, meaning any retailer with a real, measurable path to purchase, whether that's pickup, shipping, delivery, or a mix.

Why we route to your retailers instead

Routing demand to your own retailers protects the relationships that grow your business:

  • Your retailers keep the margin and the shopper. When a sale happens on a marketplace, the marketplace often keeps the customer and takes a cut that would have gone to the retailer carrying your product.
  • Demand you send is a reason to reorder. Every shopper you drive to a retailer is a reason for that retailer to stock more of you and defend your shelf space.
  • Your shopper reaches a place that carries this product, right now. Not a sea of third-party sellers, an out-of-stock listing, or a competitor's product one scroll away.

What if a retailer I use sells through a marketplace-style channel?

Some retailers fulfill through channels that look marketplace-like but still give the shopper a direct, measurable path to purchase. If one of your retail partners works that way, reach out and we'll look at whether it fits. The test is always the same: can the shopper actually buy your product there, and can we measure it.

What this means for you

Your Listings will always point shoppers to retailers who can fulfill the order and who value the demand you send them. The objective is to send your shoppers down a path that ends at a purchase and makes the entire alcohol beverage value chain healthier.
