I know my products are sold at these retailers — why don’t I see them in the system?
One of the most special things about Pour Now is that we see the world as a consumer who is shopping online would see it. This means a few things -- and most importantly -- is reshaping how our clients understand their retailer placements.
So, why don't you see those retailers in the system?
#1: The retailer hasn't listed your product on its website
In many cases, a brand has earned its placement in a chain, but the products aren’t listed on the digital shelves for every store — usually a sign that those locations are out of stock or simply haven't updated their website (especially in the case of new product launches or new placements). At Pour Now, we refresh the system daily and do a major retailer data pull every 45 days to check for new placements.
We built into the system the ability to see your coverage when you build a custom modality and we have a newly released Chain Gap Analysis Report available in Product Analytics for each product. Brands are already using this insight to drive far better chain-level digital shelf management.
- A recent example: one partner discovered 83 Target stores missing three SKUs. A single email to their chain manager resulted in 249 cases being depleted. On the screen below, you can see how powerful this is across chains where a brand has full authorization but isn’t consistently showing up on each store’s digital shelves.
#2: Your product is out of stock or unavailable at that retailer
If the product is out of stock or unavailable on the retailer's website, the retailer will not appear in the Listing, so as to not drive a shopper to an out-of-stock product.
#3: The retailer does not have online capabilities
If a retailer does not have online capabilities, they will not show up in the system. For example, CVS in CA does not sell wine online, nor does Harmons, Coborns, and more.
#4: The retailer is not yet ingested in Pour Now
We continue to build our retailer coverage, with the objective of reaching 85% coverage of all US retailers with online capabilities by January 2026. We are always (and always will be) working to get to 98%+ coverage of all retailers.
